Facebook App for holiday booking launched at World Travel Market

With a prototype in their hands, the sales team for addaJet.com - an online booking engine for hotels and portals - headed to London for this year's edition of the World Travel Market. In a purple-clad, eya-catching stand in the technology stand, squeezed between the big boys in the industry, the Malta-based company drew the attention of many as they showcased how their innovative Facebook App would allow users to search and book their holiday through the world's largest social network.

"Hoteliers, travel agencies and portal owners were intrigued by this customisable app that plugs in their Facebook page and allows their fans to book directly from Facebook" explained Andrew Ransley, Business Development Director for addaJet.com. Ransley also explained how such ancillary tools are important in the industry as they help to increase the look-to-book ratio and consequently the financial success of a travel and tourism enterprise.

"We seek to add value to the online booking experience by continuosly researching and innovating our addaJet.com platform" claimed Ransley as he pointed to the
cross-mobile application. The company will also be releasing its first clients on Google TV early in 2011.
